Product Uses
Fernox AF-10 universal biocide is used to minimise the occurrence of bacterial and fungal growths in fully indirect domestic central heating and non-evaporative chilled water systems.

AF-10 should be added in conjunction with a Fernox Protector or antifreeze to prevent microbiological contamination. AF-10 is also used to prevent the reoccurrence of jelly-like deposits (fungal growths) in feed and expansion cisterns. Gas produced by fermentation within systems may also be eliminated by the addition of AF-10.

In single feed indirect cylinders, e.g. ‘Primatic’ or similar, potable water chemicals must be used.

Application and Dosage
One 500 ml bottle of AF-10 treats a system up to 20 radiators / 200 litres volume. Add via the expansion cistern or, in the case of sealed systems, by dispersing the product in water and adding via a radiator using the Fernox Injector.

Where expansion cisterns are heavily contaminated, bale out and wipe clean using undiluted AF-10 then refill and top-up with the appropriate Fernox Protector. Only then, add a dose of AF-10 to the cistern.

Repeat applications of AF-10 are recommended on an annual basis. If AF-10 fails to prevent fouling then the system may need to be cleaned, flushed and fresh Protector added.

Packaging, Handling and Storage

AF-10 is supplied in 500 ml containers. AF-10 is classified as irritant. Risk of serious damage to eyes. May cause sensitisation by skin contact. Keep out of reach of children. In case of contact with eyes, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical advice. Wear suitable gloves and eye protection. If swallowed seek medical advice immediately and show this container label. Avoid contact with skin and eyes. Dispose of this material and its container to hazardous or special water collection point.
