Works in conjunction with a Centralised System Timer. Room thermostats are used to control the temperature in an individual room or in 'zones' of 2 or more rooms. They are wired back to the control centre so that circuits can be opened or closed. The set back thermostat is a mains operated, manually set non-programmable thermostat which is wired up to provide an automatic set back temperature mode of 4°C via the internal circuit board.
