Product Uses Fernox Leak-Fix is used to make temporary repairs to leaking metal, plastic and rubber pipes.
Physical Properties Fernox Leak-Fix is a self-vulcanising wrap-around tape that requires no curing.
Application and Dosage Cut a length of tape sufficient to pass around the pipe 4 - 5 times and remove the white backing tape. Holding the end of the tape in position next to the burst, stretch the tape until it is reduced by a minimum of one third of its original width. Wind the tape firmly round the pipe, overlapping and stretching the tape in the process. (It should now go round the pipe approximately 9 times). The leak is now repaired, and in less than 10 minutes the self-vulcanising tape will have formed a unique, durable seal that will last until you have time to make a more permanent repair. Turning off low and medium pressure water systems is not essential, but it is advisable to reduce the pressure in high-pressure systems.
Packaging, Handling, First Aid and Storage Fernox Leak-Fix is supplied in 2.5 m reels. Fernox Leak-Fix is non-hazardous and non-irritant. Contact with eyes should be avoided. Fernox Leak-Fix should be stored in a well-ventilated area below 28°C. Avoid direct sunlight.
