Simply attach the transmitter leads to both ends of the pipe (or if the other end of the pipe is not accessible, use the ground stake to complete the circuit). The transmitter energises the pipe with a powerful 65kHz signal that radiates through the ground to the locator. Depth range 6m (20ft.), 3m (10ft.) in cast iron pipe. Weight 5 kg.
